This Target Market Determination (TMD) is issued by TopWealth Trading in respect of the Contracts for Difference (CFD) products we offer. This document describes the class of consumers for whom our CFD products are likely to be appropriate, having regard to their objectives, financial situation, and needs. This TMD is not a substitute for obtaining personal financial advice.
Product Description
TopWealth Trading offers over-the-counter (OTC) Contracts for Difference (CFDs) on the following underlying asset classes: foreign exchange (forex) currency pairs, precious metals (gold, silver), commodities, equity indices, individual shares, energies (crude oil, natural gas), and cryptocurrencies. All CFDs are leveraged products traded on margin through the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform.
Target Market
Our CFD products are designed for retail and professional clients who meet the following criteria:
They have prior experience trading leveraged financial products such as CFDs, forex, or margin-based derivatives. They have a sound understanding of how leverage, margin, and derivatives function, including the potential for losses to exceed initial deposits. They are using CFDs for short-term speculative trading, hedging, or portfolio diversification purposes.
They have a high risk tolerance and are financially able to bear losses that may arise from CFD trading without material impact on their overall financial position. They have a defined trading strategy and are capable of making their own independent investment decisions without relying on personal financial advice from TopWealth Trading.
Who This Product Is NOT Suitable For
Our CFD products are unlikely to be appropriate for consumers who: cannot afford to lose some or all of the money they invest; require guaranteed returns or capital protection; do not have a working understanding of leveraged trading, margin requirements, and the risks of derivatives; are seeking a long-term buy-and-hold investment strategy; or rely on income from their investments for day-to-day living expenses.
CFD trading is also not suitable for consumers who are unable to actively monitor their open positions and respond to margin calls, or who do not have access to a reliable internet connection and computing device for trade execution and account management.
Distribution Conditions
TopWealth Trading distributes its CFD products exclusively through its online platform. All clients must complete an online account application, which includes an appropriateness assessment to evaluate their knowledge and experience with leveraged financial products. Clients who do not demonstrate sufficient understanding may be required to complete additional educational materials before being granted access to live trading.
We do not distribute our products through third-party financial advisers, and we do not provide personal financial advice. Our marketing and promotional materials clearly state the risks associated with CFD trading and include appropriate risk warnings.
Review Triggers
This Target Market Determination will be reviewed if any of the following events occur: a significant dealing of the product to consumers outside the target market is identified; a significant number of complaints are received in relation to the product; a significant change in the product features, terms, or conditions is implemented; a material change in the regulatory environment affecting the product occurs; or feedback from distributors or clients suggests the target market should be adjusted.
Review Period
TopWealth Trading will review this Target Market Determination at least annually from the date of issue, or more frequently if a review trigger event occurs. The review will assess whether the target market remains appropriate and whether the distribution conditions continue to be suitable for directing the product to the identified target market.
Reporting
TopWealth Trading will monitor and record information regarding the distribution of its CFD products to ensure compliance with this TMD.
